Chief Minister said in ‘Sitamarhi Mahotsav’, Sitamarhi Medical College and Hospital will be named after Mother Sita.

Sitamarhi. On the occasion of Janaki Navami, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated the ‘Sitamarhi Mahotsav-2026’ by lighting a lamp at Punauradham in Sitamarhi district.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of Sitamarhi Mahotsav-2026, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said, “It is a proud moment for me that, with the blessings of Mother Sita, I have come to Purnaudham, the birthplace of Mother Sita, as Chief Minister today. It is a privilege to visit the birthplace of Mother Sita on the occasion of Janaki Navami. Punauradham, the birthplace of Mother Janaki, is being fully developed. Last year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and then-Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited here to perform the groundbreaking ceremony.”,Before that, a drought had developed here, but at the time of the groundbreaking ceremony, rain began and continued. Thousands of years ago, during a famine, Mother Janaki was born here. This area received good rainfall, and an atmosphere of prosperity prevailed. Work is underway to fully develop Mother Sita’s birthplace; we recently held a review meeting regarding this. The original target was to complete the development by June 2029, but we have now directed that the work be completed by December 31, 2028.
