CM Yogi warns against prayers on roads:Says, ‘Control numbers if there is no space at home’; AIMIM leader says country cannot run on threats

A week before Bakrid in UP, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a strict warning against offering prayers on roads. He said prayers would not be allowed on public roads and added, “If they agree peacefully, it is fine; otherwise, another method will be adopted.”

The statement has triggered a political row. Waris Pathan reacted strongly, saying the country “will not run on Yogi’s threats and bullying”.

The remarks have now sparked a fresh controversy in Uttar Pradesh ahead of Bakrid. Watch VIDEO
