CEC Gyanesh Kumar offers prayers at Kailash Mahadev Temple:Visits with family after successful elections in 5 states

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar arrived in Agra and visited Kailash Mahadev Temple early Tuesday morning with his wife Anuradha and his parents. At around 6:30 AM, he offered prayers, performed the aarti while holding his father’s hand, and conducted a Dugdhabhishek ritual. He spent nearly 45 minutes at the temple.

Speaking to reporters outside the temple, Kumar said that after the successful completion of elections in five states — West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry — he had come to Agra with his wife to seek blessings. He added that he first took the blessings of his parents before worshipping Lord Shiva.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that upcoming elections would also be conducted in a transparent manner. Emphasizing the importance of a clean electoral roll, he urged citizens to obtain their voter ID cards and actively participate in the democratic process by casting their votes.

Following his visit to Kailash Mahadev Temple, Kumar is scheduled to offer prayers at Mankameshwar Mahadev Temple.

Touched parents’ feet to seek blessings, also visited son-in-law’s house

The Chief Election Commissioner arrived in Agra from Delhi on Monday evening at 5:30 PM. He first reached his ancestral residence located in Vijay Nagar. He touched the feet of his father Dr. Subodh Kumar and mother Satyavati and sought their blessings. During this time, he also met with some people.

Father Dr. Subodh Kumar Gupta has served as Chief Medical Officer. After meeting his parents, the Chief Election Commissioner reached the DM residence. Here he met his son-in-law and Agra DM Manish Bansal. His daughter Medha Roopam is the DM of Noida.
