Rahul Gandhi leaves for Lucknow from Delhi:LS LoP to stay in Raebareli and Amethi for two days, will interact with women

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has begun a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh from today. During the tour, Rahul Gandhi will participate in several public programmes and inaugurate development works in Raebareli and Amethi.

Rahul Gandhi left Delhi for Lucknow at 9.30 am on Tuesday. From Lucknow, he will travel by road to Raebareli. During the visit, he will inaugurate a marriage hall in Bachhrawan and later address a public meeting in Khiron. He is also scheduled to participate in a women’s interaction programme in Lalganj.

Rahul Gandhi left his official residence in Delhi at 9:30 AM on Tuesday. He will reach Lucknow Airport by flight.

Jan Darshan programme and Veera Pasi statue unveiling tomorrow

On 20 May, Rahul Gandhi will meet local residents during a Jan Darshan programme. He will also unveil a statue of freedom fighter Veera Pasi and address another public gathering before departing for Amethi.

Since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi has visited Raebareli six times. This will be his seventh visit to the constituency. Earlier, he had visited Raebareli on 19 January 2026.

Focus likely on preparations for 2027 Assembly elections

Political analysts believe Rahul Gandhi’s visit will focus on reviewing the party organisation and preparing strategy for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Discussions are also expected on strengthening the party structure at the booth level and increasing the participation of youth and women in the organisation.
