A 19-year-old nursing student died in Varanasi after consuming abortion pills. She was 3 months pregnant. Her boyfriend had pressured her into taking the medicine. On Wednesday morning at 11:30 AM, the student’s blood-soaked body was found on the hostel stairs.
An electrician who came to work there first saw the student lying unconscious. When he shouted, the guard and people nearby arrived. The student was taken to Shiv Surgical Nursing Home, where doctors declared her dead.
Police examined the student’s call details. They spoke to her family members and the hostel guard. The guard stated that the student used to meet Mohammad Sameer, a resident of Kariyav Mirganj, Jaunpur, at the hostel. Police traced his location and arrested Sameer from his home late Wednesday evening. Upon strict interrogation, he confessed.
During police interrogation, the accused stated that he had bought abortion pills after watching YouTube. After taking the medicine, his girlfriend experienced severe stomach pain.
Vomiting and bleeding started. She asked to be taken to the hospital. Then she started running down the stairs herself, fainted and fell. Her clothes were soaked in blood. I panicked and left her, fleeing to my home in Jaunpur.
The student’s father is a constable. He is posted in Chandauli. He lives in Kashi with his family. He has two sons. The student was a GNM second-year student. Her boyfriend, Mohammad Sameer, also studies in the same college. He is a nursing third-year student.

They also saw the method of taking the medicine on YouTube, then bought a branded medicine. It was decided that the student would take the medicine on Wednesday.
On Wednesday morning at 9 AM, she reached the hostel with food for both of us from home. After coming into the room, she was scared and nervous. When asked to take the medicine, she refused. When pressured, she said – let’s get married, but I didn’t listen to her. Against her will, I forcibly made her take the medicine.
The dose of medicine was high. Bleeding started an hour later. Half an hour later, her condition worsened even more. She said, “Take me to the hospital.” Before I could say anything, she ran out of the room.

Her boyfriend said that the student had an abortion 7 months ago as well. Videos and photos were found on the boyfriend’s phone. Chatting done with the student has also been recovered.
Guard said – The student was coming to the hostel continuously for two days The guard of the boys’ hostel said that the girl had been coming to the hostel continuously for the last two days. She had also come on Tuesday. She made three-four rounds from the grocery store on the road opposite to the tree inside the campus and wandered alone for a long time. On Wednesday morning at 9:20 AM, she went straight to the room, climbing the stairs alone. Later, she was found covered in blood.
