Rahul Gandhi meets families of Congress district presidents in Pushkar:To address 65 district presidents at ‘Chintan Shivir’; Kharge’s visit cancelled

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to Ajmer today to attend the concluding session of the Congress party’s 10-day ‘Chintan Shivir’ in Pushkar.

During the camp, Rahul Gandhi will address 50 district presidents from Rajasthan, 15 district presidents from Delhi, and other state office-bearers. He is also expected to explain the significance and outcomes of the 10-day programme.

According to City Congress President Dr. Rajkumar Jaipal, family members of several district presidents are also attending the camp. Rahul Gandhi will meet the families of district presidents from Rajasthan and Delhi before conducting a training session for all district chiefs.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi arrived at Kishangarh Airport at 10:05 a.m., where he was received by Ashok Gehlot, Govind Singh Dotasra, and Sachin Pilot. Kishangarh MLA Vikas Choudhary presented him with a traditional plough as a welcome gesture before he left for Pushkar.

Family members of 65 district presidents have also arrived at the resort. Rahul Gandhi met with them and interacted with the families. A photo session with the district presidents and their family members is also being held during the event.

Rahul Gandhi has arrived at the Wild Rose Resort in Pushkar, where he was welcomed by party leaders. The Congress organised the 10-day strategy and training camp as part of its efforts to revitalise and strengthen the party organisation. Rahul Gandhi will train district presidents during the programme.

Family members of several district presidents have also attended the camp today, and Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to interact with them.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was also expected to attend the event, but his visit has been cancelled due to other commitments.

Gehlot and Dotasra reached the camp a day earlier

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra, and Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully, along with other party leaders, attended the strategy camp on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, Gehlot said the Congress faces major challenges in the current national situation and that district presidents have an increasingly important role to play.

He alleged that the BJP is weakening democratic institutions and that the country’s constitutional framework is under continuous attack.

Rahul Gandhi’s schedule for the day

  • According to City Congress President Dr. Rajkumar Jaipal, Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to arrive at Kishangarh Airport at 10 a.m., where he would be formally welcomed by party leaders.
  • He was then set to leave for Pushkar by road at 10:15 a.m. and reach the Wild Rose Resort at 11 a.m.
  • There, he would participate in the Congress party’s strategy and training camp until 4 p.m.
  • After the programme, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to return to Kishangarh Airport by 4:45 p.m. and depart for Delhi at 5 p.m.
