Sad news came from the set of South superstar Prabhas’s upcoming film ‘Fauji’. A member of the film unit died in a road accident near Hyderabad. Five other people were reported to be seriously injured. Following the accident, the film’s shooting has been temporarily halted.

According to a ‘Bollywood Hungama’ report, the film unit’s vehicle was going to Ramoji Film City on Tuesday morning. Near Abdullapurmet on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway, the vehicle lost control and collided with a cement divider. One crew member died on the spot in the collision. The five injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital.

Local police have registered a case and started an investigation. Initial investigation suspects overspeeding and the driver losing control. Police are investigating from all angles. The accident occurred near Toopranpet Bridge in the Choutuppal Police Station area.
Following the accident, director Hanu Raghavapudi and the production house have decided to temporarily halt shooting. No official statement has been released by the makers yet.

The shooting of ‘Fauji’ is almost 80 percent complete. Some major action sequences are remaining. This is a period action drama film, in which Prabhas will be seen in the role of a soldier. Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher also play important roles in the film. The makers were preparing to release it on Dussehra 2026.
