Actor Gaurav Khanna is currently in the news for the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Gaurav spoke openly about his life’s struggles, his journey to Mumbai, and achieving success without a godfather.
He revealed what changes have occurred in him since he came to Mumbai 22 years ago, catching the Pushpak Express from Kanpur without any plan. Along with this, Gaurav also discussed his family’s reaction to the new show, his experience working with Rohit Shetty, and his habit of taking risks in life.

Gaurav Khanna has been the winner of Bigg Boss 19.
He expressed resentment over participation in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, saying, “It feels great when viewers show so much trust. In the previous reality show (Bigg Boss), people saw me in my true form. Until now, they only knew me through characters, but now they know the real Gaurav (GK). I will endeavor to live up to their expectations and keep them entertained.”
He further shared, “I never go with a preconceived notion. I put myself in that situation and met the requirements. I have no experience with stunts; I am doing all this for the first time.”

Sharing about his family’s reaction, he stated, “My parents live in Kanpur and are very simple people. When my mother found out, she got worried. She said, “Why are you going? What do you need? Your career is going well.” She said the same thing during MasterChef and Bigg Boss. I didn’t tell them this time either. To be honest, I was the last person to sign the show’s contract.”
“My father encouraged me and said that I should do it. I felt that after winning one or two shows, we often go into our comfort zone. But the fun is in testing yourself. I became an actor from the corporate line and then came into reality shows. As long as there is a passion to do something new, there will be growth in life. My wife Akanksha’s reaction was also cool, she immediately said, “ Do it,” he added further.

On working with Rohit Shetty, Gaurav stated, “I met him during a Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss. His vibe is like an elder brother who explains important things in a lighthearted manner. Learning stunts under his guidance is a big reason for doing this show. It’s going to be tough; it’s not like I’m made of stone and don’t feel fear. Everyone feels fear; it’s just about overcoming it.”

“I have a good bonding with Farahna. I also know Rithvik, Rubina, Jasmin, and Vishal. Besides, Harsh is also from Kanpur, so this time there will be two Kanpuris in the show. I hope to form a good bond with Harsh; he will make us laugh, so we will be mentally a bit relaxed,” he added further.
