Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued their impressive run with a dominant 8-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals, registering their fourth straight win of the season. Chasing a target of 143 runs, KKR comfortably reached the total with more than five overs remaining, including a record-breaking century from Finn Allen.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals managed 142/8 in their 20 overs after struggling to build momentum with the bat. In reply, KKR’s chase was powered by a brilliant century partnership between Allen and Cameron Green, as the duo guided the team to a convincing win with ease.

1) Finn Allen hits three consecutive sixes vs Vipraj Nigam
Once Finn Allen settled in, he shifted gears brilliantly and took complete control of the innings. The aggressive batter attacked Vipraj Nigam with three successive sixes in the 12th over before continuing the assault against Kuldeep Yadav in the next over with two more maximums, dominantly racing into the 90s.
2) Gautam Gambhir attended DC vs KKR match in Delhi
India head coach Gautam Gambhir attended the Delhi vs Kolkata match and spent long hours with selector R P Singh and Rajeev Shukla. Their presence together at Arun Jaitley Stadium stirred talk of scouting and selection ahead of a busy international schedule.
3) Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s bizarre stumping vs Axar Patel
Bowling around middle stump, Axar Patel forced Angkrish Raghuvanshi into an unusual dismissal attempt. Trying to play a sweep shot, Raghuvanshi edged the ball onto his glove before it bounced off his shoulder, hit his shoe and rolled back onto the stumps. The batter had no idea where the ball went and only turned after the bails fell, breaking into laughter at the bizarre dismissal.
4) Anukul Roy’s stunning catch in the boundary
Delhi Capitals lost their sixth wicket in the 19th over when skipper Axar Patel departed for 11 off 22 balls. Vaibhav Arora forced the dismissal as Anukul Roy completed an excellent running catch near the deep midwicket boundary. Despite slipping after his foot got stuck in the turf, Anukul held on firmly to the ball to complete a brilliant effort.
5) Mitchell Starc ran out Ajinkya Rahane on the follow-through
The team lost its first wicket in the third over of Kolkata’s innings. Captain Ajinkya Rahane was run out after scoring 13 runs. Mitchell Starc attempted to bowl an inswinging yorker. Allen played a straight shot, when Rahane at the non-striker’s end had stepped out of the crease. Starc touched the ball with his left hand and the ball went straight onto the stumps, resulting in Rahane being run out.
6) Cameron Green hit a 94-meter six, ball went missing
In the sixth over, Cameron Green hit a 94-meter six off Axar Patel’s second ball. The ball went missing and a replacement ball had to be brought. Axar’s full-length delivery was in Green’s slot, on which he played a powerful shot. The ball went 94 meters over deep midwicket and landed in the Gautam Gambhir Stand.

Wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul recorded 1,000 runs for Delhi Capitals. Rahul became the first batter in IPL history to score 1,000 runs for 3 teams. In the match, he was dismissed after scoring 23 runs off 14 balls.
2) Finn Allen scored the fastest century for KKR
Kolkata opener Finn Allen scored a century in 47 balls against Delhi. He became the batter to score the fastest century for Kolkata. This was the first century of his IPL career. He is the fourth batter to score a century for Kolkata in IPL. Earlier, Bredon McCullum (2008), Venkatesh Iyer (2023) and Sunil Narine (2024) recorded centuries for the three-time champions.
