PBKS enter do-or-die territory as they host MI:Can Mumbai spoil their party as Shreyas Iyer’s side battles bowling woes?

After losing four consecutive matches, Punjab Kings (PBKS) will need to plug gaping holes in the bowling and fielding department as they look to stop their free-fall in the business end of IPL 2026 season against an already eliminated Mumbai Indians (MI) on Thursday, 14 May. The match will be held in HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala.

On the other hand, the eliminated Mumbai will aim to spoil the party of the Punjab and put them under pressure in the qualification race. PBKS need to win at least two of their remaining games to secure a place in the top four.

Earlier in match 24 of IPL 2026, both teams faced each other on 16 April at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Then, Punjab defeated Mumbai by seven wickets with 21 balls remaining and chased down 196 runs in 16.3 overs. Arshdeep Singh was awarded POTM for his brilliant spell of 3/22.
