Shah Rukh Khan has once again emerged as India’s richest Indian actor in the Hurun India Rich List 2026. According to the Hurun report, Shah Rukh Khan’s total wealth stands at ₹10,000 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan ranks second on the list with wealth of ₹4,000 crore. Actor Salman Khan has made it to the list for the first time, with a net worth of ₹3,000 crore.
Hrithik Roshan also remains on the list of India’s richest actors, with wealth of ₹2,500 crore.
Shah Rukh’s net worth falls by ₹2,500 crore
Shah Rukh Khan’s total wealth of ₹10,000 crore is largely attributed to his production company, ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’, and IPL team, ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’. However, his wealth has declined slightly compared with last year. Shah Rukh’s net worth was recorded at ₹12,490 crore in the Hurun India Rich List 2025. Meanwhile, the Hurun Global Rich List released at the beginning of this year put his total wealth at ₹10,800 crore.

Amitabh Bachchan’s wealth surges despite having no business
Amitabh Bachchan, who ranks second on the rich list, has seen a significant rise in his net worth compared with last year. According to the report, Amitabh’s wealth has risen from ₹1,630 crore last year to ₹4,000 crore this year.
Amitabh makes heavy investments in companies and the real estate sector.
Like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan does not directly run any major business. Through his family office, he makes heavy investments in several major companies and the real estate sector, which has led to this increase in his wealth.
Salman Khan enters the list, while Hrithik’s wealth also rises
Salman Khan has entered the Hurun India Rich List for the first time this year with assets worth ₹3,000 crore. Meanwhile, actor Hrithik Roshan’s net worth has also increased.
Salman owns a production house called ‘Salman Khan Films.’
Hrithik’s wealth stood at ₹2,160 crore in the 2025 list and has now risen to ₹2,500 crore. The main reason for the increase in Hrithik’s wealth is his fitness and lifestyle brand, ‘HRX’, whose market value has risen rapidly.
Juhi Chawla featured on this list last year with a net worth of ₹7,790 crore.
Juhi Chawla and Karan Johar drop out of the list
Some established names have been left out of the Hurun India Rich List 2026 this time. Actress Juhi Chawla, who had a net worth of ₹7,790 crore last year, and filmmaker Karan Johar, whose wealth stood at ₹1,880 crore, are not on the list this year.
Meanwhile, Naresh Malhotra, the father of upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ producer Namit Malhotra, has also been included in the list. The Hurun report puts Naresh Malhotra’s total wealth at ₹16,000 crore.
Shah Rukh to return to the big screen with ‘King’ after 2023.
Shah Rukh Khan’s last films were released in 2023, when ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’ earned record revenues at the box office. He has not had another film release since then.
Shah Rukh is now preparing to return to the big screen with his next film, ‘King’. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film will also feature his daughter, Suhana Khan. It is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 24 December.
