Doctor’s remarks on dead bodies’ private parts spark backlash: Another video from Pranit More’s show goes viral amidst ‘₹370 Biryani’ controversy

After the video of ‘Biryani for ₹370’, another video from comedian Pranit More’s show is going viral on social media. In the video, Dr. Sejal Pawar said that she and her fellow medical students look at and make fun of the private parts of donated male cadavers (dead body) for medical research and dissection in college (KEM Hospital, Mumbai).

In the video, Dr. Sejal Pawar said, “Cut the skull and then finally, whatever it is, the reproductive organ…”

To this, Pranit More asked, “Are you a doctor or a butcher? And do you also crack such jokes or stay serious?”

Sejal replied, “We do.”

After this, Pranit More said, “They also crack jokes like ‘there’s nothing in his brain’.”

During the conversation, Sejal further added, “Whatever it is… size and so on.”

Hearing this, Pranit More expressed surprise and asked, “What? Do you people discuss all these things too?”

Anger over the statement on social media

On X, many users questioned why the reaction to this video was not as strong as it was to Himanshu Jangra’s statement.

One user wrote that if a male doctor had made such a joke about a dead woman’s body, he would have been severely criticised.

Some people also raised concerns about medical ethics and body donation. One post stated that families donate the bodies of their loved ones for medical education, and making fun of such cases is an insult to that trust.

Sejal’s account went private

As the controversy grew, Sejal Pawar’s Instagram account went private. She has 2 lakh 44 thousand followers.

Meanwhile, Pranit More was already facing criticism over the biryani controversy. After protests on social media, he has deleted or deactivated his Instagram account. Meanwhile, Himanshu Jangra, who made the biryani comment, was fired from his job.

Influencer issues public apology

Responding to the backlash, Pawar publicly apologised for her remarks, saying she was “very sorry” and had made a mistake. She clarified that she never intended to make such a comment or hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Pawar said the viral clip was recorded around two months ago during her first stand-up comedy show. She admitted she had been naive and did not expect a short segment from the interaction to be shared widely and taken out of context. However, she stressed that she was not trying to justify her statement and accepted full responsibility for it. The video is shared by X user Vishal Mohan Yadav.
