On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026, many Bollywood celebrities participated in yoga programs and gave a message to people to adopt yoga through social media. These included celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Sreeleela, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Jackie Shroff.
Akshay Kumar participated in a public yoga event in Delhi with Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mansukh Mandaviya. Videos surfaced on social media, in which he was seen performing yoga under the guidance of wellness coach Anshuka Parwani.
Shahid Kapoor and actress Sreeleela participated in a Yoga Day event in Mumbai. Both were seen in white athleisure outfits.

Fitness icon Shilpa Shetty had said that yoga is India’s gift and now many countries around the world are adopting it. She also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving yoga global recognition.

Meanwhile, Sunil Shetty said, The most important thing to stay fit is regular practice. By initiating Yoga Day, the Prime Minister has told the whole world that yoga is our heritage and will always remain ours. Yoga is for everyone, even for children. Therefore, it is very important to make it a part of your daily life.
In a video shared by the Ministry of AYUSH, Jackie Shroff, in his own style, explained the importance of staying fit. He said that focusing on breathing, practicing yoga, and planting trees are essential for good health.
