‘I have never read scripts till date’:Salman Khan shares about film projects; worked in more than 120 films so far

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently revealed that he has never read a film script to date.

In an interview with Variety India, Salman said, ‘I have never read a script in my life. I have written scripts, but never read them.’

In the interview, Salman also talked about his luxury watches. He said, ‘You see me wearing expensive watches, that doesn’t mean they are mine.’ He jokingly added that many watches belong to his friends.

Salman to be seen with Chitrangada in ‘Matrubhoomi’

Talking about the work front, Salman will soon be seen in his war film ‘Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’. Chitrangada Singh will also be in this film. Earlier, the film was named ‘Battle of Galwan’. The film’s release date was previously April 17, but it has been postponed, and a new date has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, Salman has started shooting for his second upcoming film with actress Nayanthara, which is tentatively titled SVC63.

According to a report by Variety India, Salman might also work with director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK on a superhero action film. There are also discussions that he might work with Kareena Kapoor Khan in this project.

Salman’s career began with ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’

Salman made his Bollywood debut in 1988 with the film ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’. However, in this film, he played a supporting role. Salman first appeared as a lead in Sooraj Barjatya’s 1989 film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. The film proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. After this, he appeared in classic films like ‘Saajan’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ and ‘Karan Arjun’.

However, there came a time when many of his films were continuously flopping badly at the box office. But the actor made a strong comeback every time.

From 2009 to 2016, most of the actor’s films also did well at the box office. Be it Dabangg and Dabangg 2, or Wanted, Ready, and Sultan. Many of the actor’s films were hits. The film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, released in 2015, proved to be the biggest blockbuster of his career, earning over ₹900 crore worldwide.

In 2017, Salman’s film Tubelight was released, which did not perform exceptionally well. However, after this, the actor appeared in Tiger Zinda Hai, which earned ₹190 crore at the box office. Meanwhile, the film ‘Tiger 3’ had a total lifetime worldwide gross collection of ₹464-466.63 crore globally. However, his last film Sikandar, did not perform as expected. This film, made on a budget of ₹200 crore, earned ₹184.89 crore.
